Lee Ann Womack to open for Alan Jackson at the Alltech Festival
[Lexington, KY] - Alltech is pleased to announce CMA Female Vocalist and Grammy award winner Lee Ann Womack will open for Alan Jackson at the Alltech Festival kickoff event on July 30, 2008 at Applebee’s Park. The Alltech Festival is a concert series spanning the Commonwealth building anticipation for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in 2010.
Womack became known to the world with her 2000 hit single “I Hope You Dance”. There’s More Where That Came From – the follow-up to her 2004 Greatest Hits collection -- is for everyone who’s ever loved, lost, and learned hard-earned lessons and lived to tell about it, including the singer herself. With two Grammy awards and several CMA awards to her name, Alltech is proud to welcome her as part of the Alltech Festival.
“As much as we were thrilled to have Alan Jackson headline our first large event in the Alltech Festival, we are equally excited by Lee Ann Womack agreeing to open the show,” said Alltech president and founder, Dr. Pearse Lyons. “With two Grammy award winning artists, the Alltech Festival is off to the right start!”
