

Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games
The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games are slated for September and October of 2010 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. This 16-day world championship of equestrian sports is by far the largest equestrian event in the world. Imagine 800 athletes and nearly 1000 horses representing more than 60 countries. This is the first time the Games will be held in the United States, attracting a television audience of 500 million television viewers in 180 countries.The World Equestrian Games are comprised of the world championships for eight equestrian sports - show jumping, dressage, eventing, driving, reining, vaulting, endurance and para-equestrian. The Games are held every four years, two years prior to the Olympic Games, and are governed by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI). The FEI is the international governing body of equestrian sport recognized by the International Olympic Committee. Today, the FEI has over 130 member countries.
